Her grandfather, William Henry Callahan, married Emma (nee Ortlieb) lived in Plainfield, moved to Westfield, NJ. Emma died in 1920 of the flu.

His folks Anthony and Bridget (nee Monahan) were from Plainfield, NJ and Cork City, Co.Cork. Bridget came from Co. Clare. They had threechildren, Anthony, a daughter, and William Henry - her grandfather. They left Ireland afterthe famine.

She is looking for the name of Anthony's father. It could be Cornelius (Kilgory), Edmund(Clare), or Donel (Mallow). She recently visited many of the O'Callaghan areas fromMallow to Clare, but didn't find out exactly which one was her great greatgrandfather.

Can you help?

The picture above was taken in Co. Clare, the barony of Tulla, on the road to Tulla. It is a graveyard and hilltop church ruin. The church has no roof and has three major walls still standing. The small stone church had a front entrance, now open to the elements, with memorial stones on each side of the entrance. The memorial in the photo shows the bust of Corn. O'Callaghan at the top, a square hole shows the original location of the piece shown in the next photo, the family crest, which is now down on the ground outside what was once the front door.

The center square is intact on the memorial, and the inscription can be clearly viewed in photo below.

The inscription of the rounded slab, that is also misplaced and lying upright against the memorial, can be seen in next photo. It reads: Also to the Memories of Corn. O'Callaghan of Maryfort obid 1824 the Brothers John of Knockagrady & Edward of Collieadv. Also to the memory of Corn. O'Calla
